EX SPARTAN HIKE

Exercise SPARTAN HIKE (SH) is 4 Div, 5 Div, London district and TA Divisional level Ski Championships that take place in the French Alps starting on the second Saturday in January.

There are separate competitions for all Divisions / Districts units; no distinction is made between major and minor units.

The Alpine event has a maximum capacity of 140 competitors. No distinction is made between TA and Regulars. TA also take part in Nordic events but their results are separated to create a TA Nordic competition in it's own right with a total capacity of 280 competitors.

The exercise is supported by the Army Winter Sports Association and has become an important part of developing the character and experience of our young men and women.
